Guided tours (School)

We offer a number of different programmes depending on interest, age and time. Below are three suggestions for school groups.

Curious about Astrid Lindgren’s life?
Visit the exhibition ‘The whole world’s Astrid Lindgren’ and listen to the story of her life. Meet Astrid as a child and teenager in Vimmerby, Astrid Lindgren as a single mother in Stockholm in the 20s and, not least, as one of Sweden’s foremost creators of public opinion.

The exhibition takes approximately 45 minutes. Max 20 persons.
On your own, includes audio guides with the children’s version.
Recommended from 7 years.

Experience Astrid Lindgren’s childhood home
The childhood home is still intact as it was when Astrid was a little girl. It was Astrid herself who restored the ground floor to its original condition. Most of the original inventories and possessions remain, making it a great experience to visit Astrid Lindgren’s unique and genuine childhood home.

The exhibition takes approximately 40 minutes. Max 12 persons.
Recommended from 9 years.

Go on a story walk in the gardens.
It was here at Näs that she climbed the lemonade tree and played with her siblings in the woodshed. It was here that she jumped in the hay and listened to stories in Kristin’s kitchen. It is not an exaggeration to say that the source of Astrid Lindgren’s fantastic authorship is right here at Näs. Get to know the place, the environments around the childhood home. We link her written stories to nature and her childhood on the walk in the new gardens at Astrid Lindgren’s Näs.

The guided tour takes approx. 40 minutes. Max 20 persons.
Recommended from 14 years.
